US Congressman, Federal Judge. He attended Weatherford College, graduated from law school at the University of Texas in 1896, and became an attorney in Weatherford. He was Parker County's Assistant District Attorney from 1898 to 1900 and District Attorney from 1902 to 1908. From 1908 to 1912 Wilson was Chairman of Parker County's Democratic party. In 1912 he relocated to Fort Worth and served as Tarrant County Assistant District Attorney until 1913. In July, 1913 Wilson was sworn in as US Attorney for the northern district of Texas and served until March, 1917. In 1916 he was elected to the US House of Representatives and served one term, 1917 to 1919. He had been reelected to a second term in 1918, but resigned before it started so he could accept appointment as US District Judge for Texas' northern district, where he served until his 1947 retirement.
