Nellie is the daughter of Nicholas Daniel Seminoff (1860-after 1914 in Russia) and Doonya Vasilivna Pahomova (abt 1857-1922). Nellie came to America with her parents and other siblings; however, her father became dissatisfied with America and returned to Russia. Her mother remained.
Nellie is one of nine children: John, Hazel, Pauline, James, Jack, Alex, Anastasia, Michael, and Alice. The family immigrated in 02 Apr 1913 coming through New York's Ellis Island; then traveling to California.

Nellie married John Fred Susoeff (1893-1958) about 1915. They had no children. The 1920 U.S. Federal census shows Nellie living in Portland,Oregon. John was a riveter in a shipyard and Nellie was a sorter in a bag factory. They were living with Nellie's brother Mike and his wife Jennie.

Nellie is my great aunt. She is the sister of my grandmother, Hazel Nick Seminoff Poppin.
