(1914 - 2008)

Oscar Elliott, age 93, formerly of 949 Laduron Drive, Mishicot, a resident of River's Bend in Manitowoc, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at the Aurora Medical Center of Two Rivers.

Oscar was born on April 4, 1914, in Bryant, to the late Samuel and Margaret (Manning) Elliott. He married the former Alma Anderson on Dec. 12, 1936, at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Crandon. He worked for many years for the Eggers Manufacturing Company. Oscar was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mishicot. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves.

Survivors include his wife of 71 years: Alma; one daughter and son-in-law: Virginia Lee and Lee Bashaw of Spread Eagle; one son and daughter-in-law: Jerome and Betty Elliott of Fond Du Lac; five grandchildren: David (Kathy) Elliott; Vicky Elliott; Mark (Carmen) Elliott; Lance (Joyce) Bashaw; and Lane (Alisa) Bashaw; and 15 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by a brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Allan and Florence Harvey of Manitowoc; nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers: Carl, Kennell and Arvel Elliott; three sisters: Alta Koglin; Golda Smith; and Flora Dessain.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mishicot, with the Rev. Robert Johannes officating. Entombment will take place in the Knollwood Mausoleum, Highway 310, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call after 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, at the church until the time of service at 11 a.m. There will be no Friday evening visitation.

A memorial fund has been established in his name.

The Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home of Mishicot is assisting the Elliott family with arrangements.
