Services for Pioneer Wichitan to Be Held at Downing Mortuary
Funeral services for William C. Hoover, who was believed to have been the oldest native Wichitan, will be conducted from the Downing mortuary, with Rev. C. C. Carnahan officiating.
Mr. Hoover, who was 71 years old, started the Hoover orchards here with his father in 1886. He was an orchardist all his life.
Burial will be in Highland cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dr. Paul C. Schabinger, W. C. Talbot, Chester L. Walker, Orpha Mann, Harry Stone, and Charles Hoover.
