US Congressman. From 1906 to 1912, he was a member of the Illinois Republican State Central Committee and a member of the State Senate, 1909 to 1911. He was commissioner on the Illinois Public Utilities Commission, 1914 to 1921 and a delegate to the Republican National Convention in 1920. In 1921, he was elected as a Republican to the Sixty-seventh, Sixty-eighth and Sixty-ninth Congresses, serving until 1927. US Congressman Benjamin Franklin Funk was his father.
