Letter dated September 30, 1886 by Irene Abbott, stating that she was living with her mother in the City of Springfield, Illinois, prior to the 16th day of February in the year 1879; that her mother died in said city; that she was at that time present,and present at the funeral and burial which occurred a few days after her mother's death. Irene said she was then of the age of nine years, and at above date is now of the age of sixteen years, and had a full, vivid, and complete recollection of the circumstances surrounding her mother's death.
