William Duncan Riley was born April 8, 1886 in Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia, one of six children of George M. D. Riley and Eliza Englert Miller Riley. He had two older half-sisters. "Willie" was the twin of Henry Stephen Riley and died of meningitis at age 5 on June 6, 1891 in Savannah. (His twin Harry lived to be 69.) His ancestry was German and Irish. He is buried in the Riley family plot in Laurel Grove Cemetery in Savannah. I hope one of his relatives will add his photo to this site.
