He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Florence Armstrong. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, the former Mildred Lorene Jones; his children, James Hilary Armstrong, Jr. (Janice) and Kenneth Bruce Armstrong (Anne); 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home, 2707 Gallatin Rd., Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m.. Interment at Spring Hill Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Rd.
