George Roy Mabry, Jr., 86, passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008.
He was born in Wichita, Kansas, on April 19, 1921 to George and Gertrude (Peck) Wallace, Sr.
He served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
He was married to Edna Mae "Jean" Hughes on Oct. 7, 1945 in Wichita, Kansas. They were married for 53 years.
He was a retired Mobil Oil Refinery carpenter and maintenance supervisor.
He was preceded in death by his wife, and his parents.
Survivors include his loving, devoted companion, Treva Dunsford, Augusta, KS; son, Calvin (Sherry) Mabry, El Dorado, KS; daughters, Bonnie (Norman) Clark, Houston, TX, Barbara (Miles) Johnson, Warner Robins, GA, and Carol (John) Novak, El Dorado, KS; sisters, Donna (Lowell) Putnam, Augusta, KS, and Doris (Bill) Chilcott, Phoenix, AZ; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grand-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at the First United Methodist Church, with Pastor Curtis Cadenhead officiating. Interment is in Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta, Kansas.
Memorials designated to the First United Methodist Church.
