Aged 28 years; meningitis. Georgetta is in an unmarked grave in the Robinett plot. Her stepfather, Julius Sylvester Robinett, is also buried there in an unmarked grave.

Georgetta was the child of George R S and Martha T (Miller) Thompson. Her father likely died before the 1860 US Census. Georgetta and Martha are listed in that census at the home of Martha's mother and siblings. Martha married Julius Sylvester Robinett (also spelled Robinette in some records) when Georgetta was 8 years old. Julius was the father of Georgetta's half siblings, Clara B (b.1867) and J Percy Robinett (b.1871). Julius died in 1882.

Georgetta married George Howard on 1 Jun 1878. They had one daughter, Hallie Thompson Howard. The 1900 US Census lists Apr 1884 as Hallie's DoB which isconsistent with her age in the 1905 Illinois State Census. Hallie's 1904 marriage announcement reported that she had resided with her maternal aunt, Clara Belle (Robinett) McLean, and Clara's husband James B McLean for the past 10 years. The McLeans had no children of their own.

No record has been found that indicates Georgetta's husband, George Howard, ever married again. An Illinois death index listed 16 Jul 1927 and Jacksonville IL as his date and place of death. It also listed Springfield IL as the location of his residence. His notice of death reported that he was survived by two sisters. His daughter Hallie and her four daughters were not mentioned.
