Ida Lenelle Duecker, born in Forksville, VA, residing in Salem, SC, passed away January 11, 2008 after a short illness. Marrying her husband, Donald L. Duecker who first served in the Army Air Corps and later worked for General Elec-tric Heavy Military Radar installations unit. They lived in several locations. Among them Newport News, VA, Schenectady, NY, (one of the first residences of Bayberry) Liverpool, NY, Trinidad, returning to Liverpool, NY, Kwajalein Marshall Islands, (Radisson) Baldwinsville, NY, and retiring in (Keowee Key) Salem, SC. Ida was a homemaker to her five children, enjoyed traveling, gardening, cheering for her favorite sport teams, she was devoted to her cats, in her later years cherished living in her beloved south! Her husband, Donald L. Duecker; son, Major Douglas Winston Duecker; and sister, Eucibia Cockrill preceded her in death. She is survived by her sons, Donald L. Duecker Jr. of Utica, NY, David (Eleanor) Duecker of West Linn, OR; her two daughters, Lenelle Duecker of Burbank, CA and Leslie (Robert) Keller Jr. of Baldwinsville, NY;four grandchildren, Jennifer (Joe) Ligoci of Brewerton, NY, Christian (Aoe) Pelsor of Culver City, CA, Brian Duecker of West Linn, OR, and Chelsea Leigh Keller of Baldwinsville,NY; three great-grandchildren, Joseph Robert and Julianna Marie Ligoci of Brewerton, NY and Camille Lysa Pelsor of Culver City, CA. There will be a memorial service at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Major Douglas Winston Duecker Scholarship Fund at any M & T Bank, or sent to Leslie Keller, 1669 Channelside Tr., Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
