I Question data because of SOPHIA & I can't see how 2 Van Nest Peter have same death dates.

Also I know letters cousin have give the Peter that is brother to John W. was a Reverend. John W. VN wrote to his sons. Haven't yet seen document giving the Peter on fag as a Reverend that was son of John and Sophia Van Nest.?? John W. states his brother was a preacher. Believe there a mix up in Peter.

Rev. Pieter/Peter Van Nest[e] b.1757-dOct 17, 1850, had brother John W. Van Nest[e] b1774 & sister Anne/Anna Van Neste b. 1768; they were children of John/Jan Van Nest[e] & Sarah Bodine/Bodyn. The Rev Peter I mention above was in Canada & Methodist Episcopal too. John W. Van Nest m. Abigail Warne, wrote letters to his sons stating his brother was 17 yrs older, same data of minister given for this Peter on fag/death date. Also John W. VN brother wife was this Charlotte. Peter was about 93 yrs when died that was brother to John W. VN.

How can Jan/John & Sarah Bodine have son Rev Peter b1757 listed with death dates as other Peter listed?????? John W. VN brother Peter/
Rev. Peter Van Nest was the husband of Charlotte (Stanton) Van Neste/Van Nest.

Jan/John s/o Pieter/Peter Van Neste/Van Nest of NY, NJ. John W. Van Nest[e] is my ancestor & it is stated his brother Pieter was Reverend. Pieter & John W. were sons of Jan/John Van Nest died Rev War & wife Sarah Bodine. Jan b1731, son of Peter 1700, s/o Joris/George 1676, s/o Pieter Pieterszen Van Neste/Van Nest.

Only 1 source gave mother Sophia?? see data..
This Peter mother to be Sophia,Peter line goes from Peter, s/o John b1733-1776,s/o Peter 1693-1772,s/o Jeronimus 1658-1747, to PPVN immigrant from Netherlands.

mother Sophia unknown last name, could she been Sarah Sophia to be line that goes with John W. & his brother Rev. Peter? Or another family line???


John and Sophia Van Nest had children: Peter & Elizabeth m. Gardner. Elizabeth b 9 FEBRUARY 1774 • Oxford, New Jersey d Warren County NJ.
