Mr. Pershall had not enjoyed good health for a year or so, and his last illness was soon termed critical by his physician.

Elmer Pershall was a pioneer son of this community and of the state of Washington. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. N. Pershall, came her over 15 years ago.
Elmer was born at Chelan June 21, 1892, went to school here and has lived here in the valley all his life. In fact, only once had he been out of the state, that time being a trip up into Canada. For the past 10 years he had lived on his fine orchard tract at Minneapolis Beach.
December 27, 1916, Elmer Pershall and Miss Ethel Vail were married and to this union were born two children, Lois, 14, and Bruce, 11.
Mr. Pershall was always a lover of the out doors and had the reputation of being one of the finest sportsmen in the community.
His sincere kindly disposition and sterling character won for him a host of friends who sincerely mourn his untimely passing.
