MANNSVILLE -- Graveside rites for Paul Kenneth "Rabbit" Mills, 77, will be at 1 p.m. today at Lone Cedar Cemetery under the direction of Stewart Funeral Services, Hollis.
Mills was born Feb. 14, 1924, at Ravia, to Rufus J. and Sally Sheppard Dollar Mills. He passed away April 3, 2001, in Hollis after an extended illness.
Married to Opal Inell Pittman on Nov. 7, 1953, in Gainesville, Texas, he worked the Daube and Goddard ranches in Oklahoma and C.F. Mock and Sons ranch, near Fargo, Texas, before he retired. He had lived at Hollis approximately 23 years.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Buddy and wife, Cheryl, of Atoka, and Kenneth Mills of Hollis; two daughters, Sally Myers and husband, Donnie, and Charlotte Robinson and husband, Donald, all of Hollis; a brother, Jack Sparks of Nyssa, Ore.; a sister, Dink Yeaman of Norman; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He wa preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lee Mills; a son, Garland; a granddaughter, Peggy; and great-granddaughter, Michaela Bower.
