Anna lived much of her life in the area near Fowler, Benton County, Indiana. She and her husband had no children; however, they adopted a girl. On both the 1910 and the 1920 census, the girl is listed as "adopted daughter." By 1930, Anna's husband was superintendent of the County Poor Farm in Benton County, Indiana, and Anna was the matron.
