Nancy K. Thomas, 48, of Toronto, Kansas, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, at Toronto, Kansas.

She was born May 7, 1950, in Winfield, Kansas, to Pete and Marie J. (Shipp) Barnhart.

She grew up in Winfield, KS.

She was divorced.

She worked for Boeing Aircraft Co. for 20 years in the bonding department. She moved to Toronto in 1991.

She was a member of the Eastern Star and Booster Club, both of Toronto. She helped with the Fourth of July celebrations and fireworks shows and had owned and operated the Whatever Store in Toronto.

She loved arts and crafts and taking care of her grandchildren.

Survivors include a son, Paul, and wife Amy Craft of Derby, KS; a daughter-in-law, Tisha Poffenbarger of LaHarpe, KS; four sisters, Luanna Kerns, Wichita, KS, and Donna Sue Lumbert, Linda McCaslin and Dale Lynn Eads, all of Winfield, KS; and seven grandchildren.

A son, Delbert Hunter, died in 2005.

Memorial services will be at the Toronto American Legion, with burial to follow in Highland Cemetery in Iola, Kansas.
