He is survived by four daughters and one son, his wife dying only ten weeks ago. The children are: Mrs. Theodore Matthews, of Erie, Whiteside county, Ill.; Mrs. Henry Johnson, of Hannibal, Mo., and Miss Laura Stahl, Mrs. Phoebe Twyman and J. Frederick Stahl, all of this city. The last three were at their father's bedside when death came and the other daughters will be here to attend the funeral. The funeral was held at the German Methodist church. Interment in Oak Ridge cemetery.
