Rev. Burdette Corlys Fuller was born March 19, 1926. He was a graduate of Alfred University, attended Garrett Seminary in Evanston, Illinois and graduated from Alfred School of Theology.
June 24, 1961 he married Shirley Allison. To this union were born three children: Michelle Hollier, Jamie and Harold. His spouse and all children survive.
Rev. Fuller served the following churches in the Western New York area: Scottsburg and Webster's Crossing, Canisteo Valley Co-op Parish, Scio and Allentown, Fillmore and Hume. Little Valley and Napoli, Troupsburg and South Canisteo, and Angelica, New York. He was pastor at Angelica at the onset of the affliction of leukemia.
Shirley A. Fuller, his spouse, added these words: "Burdette was a deeply spiritual pastor who served the Lord faithfully all his years in service for the Master. He had a wonderful singing voice and enjoyed singing the old and great Methodist hymns, He was a caring shepherd of his flock and called on all his parishioners frequently. He always said, "You can't attend to your people's needs unless you visit them in their homes and get to know them."
He went home to be with the Lord February 13, 1985 after a lengthy battle with leukemia. The funeral service was held February 16, 1985 at Angelica United Methodist Church, a resurrection service of Hope, Faith, Love, and Trust with several area clergymen participating.
