Florence was born in Kentucky the daughter of Ben Phipps and Margaret Ribsby. On December 22, 1902 she married Kendle Montgomery the son of Lee Montgomery and Margaret Montgomery and the grandson of Miles Montgomery and Franky Cantrell. Kendle and Florence's children are; Voyd Montgomery-stillborn, Addie (Montgomery) Phipps, Earnie Montgomery, Kernie Montgomery, Ada (Montgomery) Blanton,Mazie (Montgomery) Montgomery, Manford Montgomery and Mellie(Montgomery) Montgomery.
