Willis G. Blaker Sr., 73, Mt. Morris R. D. 1, died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, January 21, 1979 at his residence from an apparent coronary occlusion.
Born December 7, 1905 in Perry Township, he was a son of Mrs. Belle Hickman Blaker, who survives, and the late Fordyce Blaker. With the exception of a few years spent at Morgantown, Mr. Blaker had lived most of his life on the farm where he was born. He was a farmer and a stockraiser.

For several years he was employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Highways, retiring in 1972 as an assistant superintendent.

He was a member of the Valley Chapel United Methodist Church and a trustee of the church. He also served as a trustee and treasurer of the Claughton Chapel Cemetery Association.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Mildred Wade Blaker, whom he married February 21, 1923; one son, Willis G. (Jerry) Blaker Jr. and a daughter-in-law, Lois Lemley Blaker, both of Mt. Morris R. D. 1; a granddaughter, Pamela Sue Blaker; a grandson, Willis G. (Jay) Blaker III, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
