Joseph was a native of Poland. About 1876 he wed Mary Piotrowski and they had seven children: Francis, Anna, Mary, Agnews, Bernard, Frances & John. In 1889, Joseph and his family, his wife's parents Dominic and Anna, and her brother Thomas and his family immigrated to the United States onboard the passenger ship Switzerland. They arrived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on 06 Mar and settled in Trenton, New Jersey. Joseph was employed in the wire mills of Trenton. He died of carcinoma of the liver at the age of 60.
