She married Elmer Guy Bryan on May 8, 1886 in Savoy, Texas, and they had 8 children: Sam Tilton Bryan, Audy Everett Bryan, Celes Bryan, Mary Nelle Bryan, Ruby Bryan, Fairy Beatrice Bryan, James Edward Bryan, and one living Bryan.

Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Kate Bryan, 81, of Ralls were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Emma Church of Christ in Ralls Sunday.
Mrs. Bryan died about 8:30 p.m. Friday in the Crosbyton Hospital.

Officiating were Jerry Hestand and James Eubanks. Burial was in Ralls Cemetery.

Mrs. Bryan was born in Childress. She moved to Ralls from Lamar County in 1920.

She is survived by three sons, Sam of Happy and Audy and Boyce, both of Ralls; four daughters, Mrs. Perry Anthony of Plains, Mrs. Phillip Robertson of Batesville, Mrs. Rubye Smith of Crosbyton, and Mrs. Farry Bea Strickland of Ralls; 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Grandsons served as pallbearers.
