GERHARDT H. Raymond and Joanne Gerhardt, of Grove City, OH and Englewood, FL, both passed away suddenly in FL. Ray, age 82, died Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at Lee Memorial Hospital. He was born October 21, 1925, in Columbus, the son of the late Ernest and Kathleen Gerhardt. He was also preceded in death by his siblings Bill, Dale and Jimmy Gerhardt, Evelyn Evans, Mary Wilkins and Maxine Kay. Ray was retired from AEP and he was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Joanne, age 80, died Saturday, March 8, 2008, at Englewood Community Hospital. She was born March 7, 1928, in Briggsdale, OH the only child of the late Clarence and Josephine Bellamy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband and her foster siblings Maribelle Smith and Tom Harrington. Joanne retired from South Western City Schools after many dedicated years as school secretary and she was a member of the Eastern Star. Together, Ray and Joanne were members of the Englewood United Methodist Church in Englewood, FL, where Joanne enjoyed singing in the choir and serving as the church organist and pianist. Ray and Joanne are survived by their loving children, Joanie Adcock and Jeff Gerhardt; grandchildren, Andy Gerhardt, Alison Gerhardt (Dee Jackson), Christopher, Jeffrey and Mary Adcock; great-granddaughter, Danika Jackson; and many dear friends. Ray is also survived by his brothers, Ronnie (Shirli) and Dick Gerhardt; and many loving nieces and nephews and Joanne is also survived by her cousin, Tom (Vicki) Maurer and his family, who was like a brother to her. Calling hours 6-8 p.m. Friday at the SCHOEDINGER NORRIS CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, where their funeral service will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2008, with family friend, Rev. Darrell Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.
