Frenchville -- Funeral services for Quindon E. Beaseigneur, 60, formerly of LeContes Mills, who died at Ebensburg, will be held tomorrow (Friday) at 10:0 at the Frenchville Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Frenchville Cemetery.
Mr. Beauseigneur was born in LeContes Mills, the eldest of 11 children. At the time of his death he resieded in Ebensburg with his wife and three children, Agnes, Dorothy and James, all of whom survive. Two other children, Quindon Jr. of Bradford and Mrs. Franklin Krise of Brandy Camp, also survive, along with two brothers, Charles and Jay, and a sister, Mrs. Susan Huff, all of Kane.
Deceased had been in ill health for a year and suffered a stroke just a few days before his death.

Q.E. Bauseigneur died February 28, 1939, in the Kane Hospital. He was born and reared at LeContes Mills and later moved to Johnsonburg. He was the oldest of 11 children and was 61 years old at death.
Surviving are his wife and five children, two children to his first wife, Mrs. Franklin Krise and Quindon Beauseigneur of Brockway. He also leave the following brothers and sisters: Miss Blanche Beauseigneur, Emporium; Mrs. Virginia Foust, Philadelphia; J.B. Beauseigneur, C.C. Beauseigneur, Mrs. Susie Huff, all of Kane; Mrs. Mona Sayre, Franklin; Mrs. Robert Elgin, Des Moines, Iowa; Miss Lillian Beauseigneur, of Emporium; Vernon Beauseigneur of Pittsburgh; Mrs. Fannie Yeager, West Virginia.
Funeral services were conducted by Father Carrick at the Frenchville Catholic Church. Interment in the Frenchville Cemetery.

Q. E. BEAUSEIGNEUR,* postmaster at Lecontes Mills, in Girard township, where he is engaged in the lumber business, is also engaged in farming and operates a general store, and has spent his whole life in this township and is one of its foremost men. His parents, Peter and Elizabeth Beauseigneur, were both born in France, and the latter died in Girard township in 1908. The father was 3 years old when his father brought him to Clearfield county, settling on 600 acres of land, this being one of the rich old colonizing families of this section that originated in France.
Q. E. Beauseigneur was reared and educated in Girard township. He located on his present farm, which lies thirteen miles northeast of Clearfield, shortly after his marriage. He is a man of unusual enterprise and successfully manages numerous interests. He was appointed postmaster at Lecontes Mills in 1890, under the administration of President McKinley, and has been retained in office ever since. In his general store he carries a well selected stock of goods, mainly groceries, and supplies a large surrounding territory. In 1904 he was married to Miss A. Daugherty, of Clearfield, and they have one daughter, Rebecca. Mr. and Mrs. Beauseigneur are members of the Roman Catholic church at Frenchville.
