Ferne I. Lozier, age 94, of Canton, passed away Wednesday afternoon in Aultman Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Lozier was born July 2, 1902 in Vandergrift, PA to the later James J and Mary Catherine Guist and had lived in Canton most of her life and more recently the past nine months at Sumser Nursing Home. A member of Fairmount Park United Presbyterian Church of Canton and U. T. U. #409 Auxiliary and American Legion Post 257 Auxiliary. Preceded in death by her husband, Reno E. Lozier Sr., March 16, 1988. Survived by one daughter, Betty Burris of West Virginia; two sons, Reno E. Jr. of Oakville, Ontario, Richard W. of Canton; eight grand children; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson. Funeral Services will be Saturday at 11 am in the Waltner-Boehmer-Simchak Funeral Home with Rev. Holly Russell officiating. Friends may call Friday (tonight) 7-9 pm. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Material tributes may take the form of contributions to the Memorial Fund of the Church.
