Mr. Carrigan, 69, died Jan. 21, 2001, at a local care center. He was employed by El Paso County in the Office of the Treasurer. He also served in the Army for 23 years.

Mr. Carrigan was born Sept. 25, 1931, in Newport, R.I., to Edward Francis and Grace M. Carrigan, who are deceased. He was married Feb. 9, 1957, to Theresa Carrigan, who is deceased.

He is survived by a daughter, Ilse Buchberger; a brother, Francis R.; two sisters, Rita King and Frances Hightower; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Nolan Funeral Home, 225 N. Weber St., 632-7608. Inurnment will at 10 a.m. Friday at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver.
