Vicki Bradford was the second of five children and only daughter born to William George Kernan (1933-) and Margaret Ann Lapham (1936-2004).
In 1961, she moved with her parents and siblings from Portland, Oregon to Huntington Beach, California, where she grew up and attended Marina High School. On the 4 November 1972, she married Keith Lee Staneart (1953-), the son of Herman Neville Staneart (1925-1998) and Ruth Lee Raymond (1928-2007), in Huntington Beach. Vicki and Keith had three children together: Nicole, Daniel, and Laurie.
In the late 1970's, Vicki, Keith, and their three children moved to Louisiana, where Vicki and Keith's marriage eventually ended in divorce. Vicki and her children remained in Louisiana, living in Jena. On the 25 April 2003, Vicki remarried, marrying Horace "Butch" Bradford, whom she met at work.
In 2007, Vicki was diagnosed with metastasized cancer. Although treatments appeared to be helping, complications arose halting further treatments. A loving daughter, sister, mother, wife, and aunt, she is deeply missed and mourned by her family.
