Wilma A. Daugherty, 89, of Parkersburg died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, at the residence of her devoted caregiver, Lea Brace.
She was born in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Harry and Margaret Dunn Auberle.
She was a homemaker and a lifetime member of First Presbyterian Church, where she was active in the Ladies Circle and the Thelma Lacey Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Henry Logan Children's Home Board and an avid bridge player.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Daugherty of Davisville; two daughters, Susan Daugherty and her husband, William Niday of Parkersburg and Nancy Caplinger of Tampa, Fla.; three grandchildren, Tom Caplinger, Julie Huber and Jessica Farner; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Daugherty; an infant daughter; a brother, Harry Auberle; and a sister, Louise Dulin.
Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. George Spransy officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. today and one hour prior to services Saturday.
