Mr. Schwaigert was a Baker by profession, son of the late Lucas and Caroline Keummerling Schwaigert both of whom were born in Germany. His mother came to the U. S. in 1851 and his father in 1853. They met and married in 1855. August Lucas was the father of Caroline Sythia Mae Schwaigert Crum of Harpers Ferry WV; and Idella Wenner of Brunswick, Md. and a host of grandchildren, step-father to Ethel and Gene Sheldon, he is also survived by three brothers George F., John Jacob and Frank Crawford Schwaigert, six sisters; Caroline Marie Edwards, Marie Elizabeth Hess, Amelia Magdalene Osborn, Lillie May Wohlgemuth, Hattie C. Harper McCaulley and Anna May Carmell. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his 1st wife Lucille Catherine McLeigh and 2nd wife Stella Sheldon, two brothers Gottlob H. and William G. and a still born sister and several grandchildren.
