Mrs. Elizabeth R. Rasel, 95, of Parkersburg died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at Eagle Pointe in Parkersburg.
She was born in Wood County, a daughter of the late John William and Almedia Dye Buzzard. She collected teddy bears and loved dogs, especially poodles.
She was an excellent homemaker and housekeeper and loved cooking and baking.
Surviving are her granddaughter, Elizabeth R. Tribett and her husband, Stephen; two step great-grandchildren, Jason Tribett and Justin Tribett, all of Parkersburg; one sister, Maxine Griffin of Parkersburg; a daughter-in-law, Mary Jackson Rasel of Parkersburg; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Harley E. Rasel in 1990; a son, Harley E. Rasel Jr. in 1995; brothers, William Jr., Chester, Herbert and Davis B. Buzzard; and sister, Evelyn Buzzard Lonal Wise and twins, Eleanor Clark and Lenora Edwards.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Leavitt Funeral Home, 403 Seventh St., Parkersburg. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Parkersburg. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday and prior to the service on Monday
