Harry J. Button, 64, a printer who has lived in Kalamazoo more than 50 years, died at his home 832 Elm Street, Sunday afternoon. He was born in New York City (on an Erie Canal Boat according to family history) and came to Kalamazoo at the age of 21. He has been employed by the Putt Printing Company for 28 years and was formerly with The Telegraph and the Kalamazoo Publishing Company. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America. Surviviing are his widow, Kate: three daughters, Mrs. Roy K. Grabill (Harriet Genevieve Button) of Hammond, Ind., Mrs. Walter Grant Powell (Florence Alene Button) of Downey, Calif., and Miss Katherine Louise Button of the city; and two grandchildren, Barbara Louise Grabill and Robert Grant Powell.
