Calvin E. Morehead

Calvin Ellis Morehead, 70, of Parkersburg departed this life and entered into eternal life Aug. 31, 2006, at St. Joseph's Hospital.

He was born Nov. 12, 1935, in Parkersburg, a son of the late Thomas and Vena Shonick Morehead. Calvin was retired from E.I. DuPont and was pastor of the End Time Harvest Full Gospel Church, Parkersburg. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served 10 years in the service. Calvin enjoyed reading his Bible, painting and fishing. He enjoyed the church and gave of himself to the church.

Surviving is his wife of 41 years, Frena Rollyson Morehead; four children and their spouses, Timothy and Lynn Morehead of Denver, Colo., Tammy and Herb Trace of Griffin, Ga., Dustin Morehead and Brenda of Parkersburg and Kimberly and Alan Dennis of Griffin, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Tiffany and Megan Stone, Dakota Trace, Ashley, Andrew, Jordan and Casey Riffle; three stepgrandchildren, Joshua, Jeremiah and Jordan Johnston; one sister, Nancy Barns of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters, Hazel Green, Novia Graham, Chuck Hose, Betty Johnston and Wayne and Paul Morehead.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg, with Evangelist David Powers and the Rev. Marvin Dennis officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
