MRS EVA SUPLEE, FORMER ANITA RESIDENT, IS DEAD
..Funeral services were held at 1:30 o'clock last Friday afternoon at the Methodist church in Guthrie Center for Mrs. Eva Suplee, who passed away last Wednesday morning at the home of her nephew, Dr. W. A. Thornburg, in Guthrie Center. Deceased had been in poor health for a number of months following several paralytic strokes. The remains were brought to Anita for interment in Evergreen cemetery. Short services were held at the grave.
..Mrs. Suplee was a native of Iowa, having been born in Polk County on December 4, 1853. She was the widow of H. H. (Rash) Suplee, who passed away in 1919. They lived on a farm near Anita for many years, later retiring and moving to town. Mrs. Suplee was engaged in business here for several years with the late N. C. Burkhart. Since the death of Mr. Suplee, she has spent most of the time with relatives at Linden and Guthrie Center. She was a member of the Anita Methodist church and of Juanita Rebekah Lodge, No. 206, of this city.

Nancy Evaline Vestal, daughter of S. H. Vestal and Alley Chambers Vestal, was born in the town of Park, Park County, Indiana, on December 7, 1852, and died at the home of Dr. and Mrs. W. V. Thornburg, Guthrie Center, Iowa, February 20th, 1935. She came to Iowa with her parents in 1853.
..On February 26th, 1874, she was united in marriage to Horatio J. Suplee of Anita, Iowa. There were no children born to this union.
..Mrs. Suplee is survived by one brother, Charles Vestal, of Des Moines, Iowa, a number of nephews and nieces and a host of friends.
..At the age of fourteen years Mrs. Suplee became a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church and has been an active and interested worker in the church all her life.
..Services held at M.E. Church, 1:30 p.m., February 22, by Rev. Rex with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Anita, Iowa.
