William Wakefield died at the family residence south of Newton, yesterday, of influenza-pneumonia, and will be laid to rest at Pleasant Ridge cemetery, after religious services at eleven o'clock, today.
Deceased, a young married man, was one of Jasper county's best citizens, clean, moral, upright and sociable.
Surviving are his devoted wife, brothers Frank and Foster Wakefield, sisters Mrs. W.H. Hood, Mrs. Charles Boggs and Mrs. John Davidson, besides numerous other relatives.
