A well-known New York master of ceremonies, he was long time married to Helen Kane, the "boop-boop-a-doop" singer who inspired a craze and the Betty Boop cartoon character. Their union produced no issue.

They later opened a NY restaurant together called Healy's Grill.

Helen, who predeceased him, lies here beside him.
