Mary and her husband Alpheus were the parents of three daughters and one son, all of whom lived long lives. Census images can be confusing as to their names, but there were only the four children listed here. Mary (Albertson) Swayze was a wonderful grandmother of three and was spoken of lovingly by her granddaughter, Cora Ethel Swayze. Mary lived to become a great-grandmother but died months before Cora's second child was born and before Earl Swayze had a son.
