Born in Boston Feb. 10, 1926, he was a son of the late Francis and Helen (Farquenson) Heuklom. Mr. Heuklom was a WWII Army veteran attaining the rank of Private First Class and received the WWII Victory Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Before his retirement, Mr. Heuklom worked at Axton-Cross in Holliston for more than 30 years and was a member of the Teamsters Union Local #25. He also served on the Medway Fire Department for 30, years retiring as a lieutenant.
He is survived by his children, Elizabeth DeLuca of Bellingham, Richard of Blackstone, Patricia Ferland of Waterville, Maine, Merrie Roy of Marlborough, William of Franklin, Janet Accorsi of Blackstone, Jean Nicholson of Schwenksville, Pa., and Jennifer Mascis of Bellingham. He was the father of the late Kenneth Jr. and Helen Heuklom. He also is survived by 24 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by eight siblings and is survived by one sister.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service Wednesday, May 21, at 10 a.m. at Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com), 3 Barber St. in Medway.
Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in West Medway.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Medway Fire & EMS Assoc. Scholarship Fund, 44 Milford St., Medway, MA 02053.
