Anchorage resident Joe R. Allsup, 65, died July 10 at Providence Hospital.

A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Kehl's Forest Lawn Chapel with the Rev. Jack Phelps officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Fort Richardson National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gerald Allsup, Andy Allsup, Marvin Byker, Ron Allsup, Landon Smith and David Walters.

Mr. Allsup was born Sept. 14, 1928, in Loveland, Colo. He had served in the Marine Corps during the Korean conflict. In 1967, he moved to Anchorage. He had worked for Wien Air Alaska and was retired.

Mr. Allsup's hobbies included flying, fishing and gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara of Anchorage; sons, Jerry and Andy of Anchorage; daughters, Susan Arnao of New Jersey and Diane Byker of Anchorage; and 11 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be sent to For The People, c o Telford Hotel, 3 River St., White Spring, Fla. 32096.
