Gordon Elbert Harry passed away peacefully in the early hours of May 26, 2008 at his home. He resided at 3346 South Bloomington Drive (1500 West) in the Bloomington area of St. George, Utah at the time of his death.

Born to Louis Elbert and Dorothy Rude Harry on February 18, 1928 in Columbus, Ohio. Bert loved being on his boat, loved the Utah Jazz, jazz music and fixing up his home. He loved to have visitors. Bert was always thinking of ways to make his home bigger so that it would accommodate more people. He served his country in World Was II in the Navy as a yeoman. He was a securities market maker and trader for many years. He owned and operated Continental Dry Cleaners before that.

Bert treasured his family: Gordon (Sheila) Harry, Ron (Nila) Harry, Bryan Harry, Pam Alexander, Greg Harry, Debra Miller and Brooke Hines. He leaves behind 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Bert was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Ivan and daughter, Debra.

Services will be held on Friday, June 20, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park Cemetery at Camp Williams, 17111 S. Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah.
There will be a celebration of Bert's life held on Thursday, June 19 at 7 p.m. in Park City.
