I knew Gillespie Shaw. His parents are Clyde and Estelle Shaw but they not the Clyde and Estelle Shaw buried in Crowder Cemetery. His parents are Clyde Edwin Shaw and Estelle Walton Shaw, buried in Pilgrim`s Rest Cemetery in Yalobusha Co., MS. He needs a note or a link to his parents to avoid confusion with the Clyde and Estelle buried with with him in Crowder Cemetery. Gillespie was born too late in 1930 to be on the census, and it seems his family was missed on the 1940 census..

Gillespie Young Shaw of Crowder, 74, died Monday, August 8, 2005, at his home in Crowder of heart failure.
Services were Wednesday, August 10, at 2:00 p.m. at Crowder Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Harvey Sewell officiating. Burial was in Crowder Cemetery. Kimbro Funeral Home of Marks had charge.
Born in Quitman County, on September 15, 1930, he was a retired road foreman for Quitman County. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Shaw of Crowder, two daughters, Janice Curry of Louisville and Linda Andrews of Sardis; a son, G. Y. "Bubba" Shaw, Jr., of Coffeeville; two sisters, Mildred Respess of Lambert and Judy Green of Olive Branch; four brothers, Edward, Eugene, Wesley and Malcolm Shaw, all of Coffeeville; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
