Elizabeth was the daughter of Michael Swaim and Elizabeth Grace Davis. On 7 June 1818, she married James Armstrong. They had the following children (in order of birth): Moses, Meredith, Nancy Jane, Mary, Grace, Elizabeth, James Clingman, Julius C., John, and Thomas.

Update 10-8-21: Ron 47783486 edits that Elizabeth is linked to the wrong parents. She came linked to Michael Swaim (1770-1840) and Rachel (Vanhoy) Swaim (said to be possible daughter of John Vanhoy).
Because the Will of Michael Swaim posted to this Michael's memorial does name daughter Elizabeth Armstrong, and a flower there alleges that this Michael's wife is not Rachel Vanhoy, it appears link to father is correct. Link to Rachel Vanhoy removed this day pending further research.
