Professional Basketball Player. A native of Talladega, Alabama, he was chosen in the 1st round of the 1958 NBA Draft and played at the forward position with the Boston Celtics, appearing in 58 games during the 1958-1959 season. He was a member of the 1958-1959 NBA Champion Celtics team and appeared in 5 games during the post season. Swain received All-American recognition during his collegiate years at Texas Southern University and was inducted into their Athletic Hall of Fame in 1976.
