KENNAN, Minnie PEERSON – Mrs. Minnie Kennan, daughter of Mr. Norman Peerson of Washington County, Ark., was born Sept. 27th, 1869; was an obedient and lovable child and at the age of nine years, at which time her mother had a severe spell of sickness, she exhibited remarkable traits of sympathy and patient attention to her mother's wants far more than is common to children of that age. Some time during the summer of 1885 she professed a hope in Christ and joined Shiloh church of Primitive Baptist second Sunday in Oct. 1885. Was united in matrimony with White Kennan Sept. 1889 and led a happy Christian life till death cut short her race on May the 24th, 1892. She was quietly and lovingly layed to rest in Bluff Cemetery, our city. A large number of sympathizing relatives and friends attended the funeral.
