Born West Greenwich, RI, second child of John Albro and Emily Beattie Albro. He served in the Rhode Island House of Representatives and the Rhode Island State Senate for eight years. He served in the National Guard. He was a founding member and Chief of the Lake Mishnock Fire Department, City Council member for town of West Greenwich and a former tax assessor. He was a charter and life members of the West Greenwich Elks Lodge No. 2285 and held several offices in the Coventry West Greenwich Lions Club. He moved to Inverness Florida in 1976. Survived by his wife of 64 years, Gertrude Gifford. Children: Richard J. Albro and wife Shirley (Rathbun), Doris Graska and her companion Harry Wolfertz, Priscilla Fabbri and her husband Carmine, William B. Albro and his wife Tanya (Ligon), Donna Young and her husband Rex. Eleven grandchildren and several great grandchildren. His brother Waite, sisters: Carolyn Breene, Mary Curls, Susan Fontaine. He was pre-deceased by a sister Mildred Albro and a daughter Barbara Jean who died at birth.
