Husband of Barro Inken and Barbara Zuck (Zug). His parents are believed to be Johann Adam Buechele (1717-1812) and Cathrina Hertzler (1722-1752).

According to the book written by H. Austin Cooper "Two Centuries of Brothersvalley", in Appendix K submitted by Jacob Buechley, Berlin, PA in 1949, the Beeghly family descends from a German Noble family, by name of Buechele. Johann Adam Buechele married a woman of inferior rank, whose children are legitimate but cannot inherit their father's rank or possessions. Sometime in 1750, he sent his morganatic wife and son Johann "Michael" to America. Michael's mother was returning to Germany to claim a family fortune in 1751-1752 when the ship was boarded by pirates and she was killed. Twelve year old Michael was taken captive by the pirates and remained with them for about two years when he finally escaped. He returned to Germantown, PA, where he was taken in by a German family. He changed the spelling of his name to Beeghly, and his descendants spelled the name in various ways also, ie Bueghly, Buechley, Bickley.

There is disagreement among a few descendants whether Michael actually had two wives or whether Barro and Barbara were just one person. Until there is proof of this, I will stay with Jacob Buechley's version that there were two wives, with Barro dying after giving birth to their son Michael Jr, January 10, 1789, and Michael then marrying Barbara Zuck(Zug).

Michael and Barro had six sons and seven daughters, of which eleven are known: Jacob, John, Joseph, Barbara, Maria, Elizabeth, Abraham, Catherine, Hannah, Susanna, Michael.Birth 20 January 1742 in Berlin, Somerset, PA, USA.
Death 12 Aug 1812 in Berlin, Somerset, Pennsylvania, United States.

Johann Michael was the son of Johann Adam (Beeghly) Buchele (1718-1812) who was born in Eutingen, Pforzheim, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany and Cathrina Hertzler (Beeghly) Buchele (1722-1752) who was born in Königschaffhausen, Emmendingen, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany and whose Death was in 1752 Death at Sea. When the first member of the Buchele family moved over to the USA from Germany (which was this Michael), this name changed to "Beeghly" in the USA.

In 1760 Marriage to Barro Inken (1742-1789). After Barro's death, Johann Michael married Barbara Zug Zuck (1742-1815) in Germantown, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Barbara was the daughter of Christian Zug (1710-1787) who was born in Darmstadt, Starkenburg, Hessen, Germany and Anna Kannabel Beeghly (1702-1760) who was born in Hessen, Germany.

Michael and Barro Inken Beeghly (1742-1789) had at least 11 children: Jacob Beeghly M 10 Dec 1766 in Cocalico, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA; John Beeghly M 26 Jun 1768 in Pennsylvania, USA; Joseph Beeghly M 19 Jan 1770 in Cocalico, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA; Barbara Beeghly F 27 Oct 1773 in Pennsylvania, USA; Maria Beeghly F 29 Jun 1775 in Somerset, Pennsylvania, USA; Elizabeth Beeghly F 17 Feb 1778 in Somerset, Pennsylvania, USA; Abraham Beeghly M 31 Jan 1780 in Somerset, Pennsylvania, USA; Catharina Beeghly F 27 Apr 1782 in Somerset, Pennsylvania, USA; Hannah Beeghly F 7 Jun 1784 in Berlin, Somerset, Pennsylvania, USA; Susanna Beeghly F 18 Aug 1786 in Brothersvalley, Berlin, Somerset, Pennsylvania, USA and Michael Beeghly M 10 Jan 1789 in Somerset, Pennsylvania, USA.
