US Congressman. He graduated from St. Thomas College and with his brothers established the successful Boland Brothers General Building Contractors Company. He was a member of the Scranton City Council, (1905-06), served on the Scranton School Board, (1907-09) and was Commissioner of Lackawanna County, (1915-19). In 1931, he was elected as a Democrat to the Seventy-second Congress and to the next five succeeding Congresses and served until his death age 62.
