Caroline Jane LUCY Collier McPhail
According to 1976 publication "Children Meet Your Ancestors", Caroline Jane LUCY Collier McPhail died on March 25, 1887. Her obituary was printed in the Meridian Morning Star reading: "Yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock, Mrs. C.J. McPhail, aged 76 died at the residence of her daughter Mrs. S.A. Broome. The funeral will take place at 10 o'clock this morning." The publication also states the obituary was incorrect and that Caroline was actually 78 when she died.
CMYA lists no date which the Obit was published - and it is that author which states Caroline Jane's incorrect age.
Caroline Jane was the daughter of Cadwallader LUCY and Jane BLAKENEY. Caroline's first husband was Reverend John COLLIER (1800-1842) and her second was Reverend Hugh McPHAIL, MD (1778-1852).

Jul 27, 2008 - The cemetery looked like it had been destroyed. The gravestones had been broken and knocked over. I was unable to find Caroline McPhail's grave.
Aug 01, 2008 - I searched the entire cemetery and could not find the grave Details: This cemetery is awful shape. I looked at all legable stones, but did not find this grave.
