FITCHBURG -- Clare C. (Condon) Chase, 77, a resident of Birchwood Care Center, 1199 John Fitch Highway, formerly of 12 Gerard Drive, died Thursday, Oct. 10, in the center.
She was born Sept. 28, 1925, in Bellows Falls, Vt., the daughter of Michael P. and Catherine (Gorman) Condon and had lived many years in Fitchburg. She attended Fitchburg State College and the former Burbank Hospital School of Nursing, where she received a nursing degree.
Mrs. Chase was a nursing supervisor at Burbank Hospital, retiring there after 48 years of service.
She was a member of the Burbank Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association.
She leaves her husband of 47 years, William A. Chase; and a brother, Lawrence P. Condon of Bellows Falls.
