Marcella was one of twelve children born to Celia Mary (Rock) and Louis Raymond Liberty. Wife of Lyle Dutton Stewart, whom she married in June, 1932 in Morristown, Vermont. He died in 1974. They were the parents of Barbara Ann (Stewart) Williams, Beverly Jean (Stewart) Stannard, who died in California in 2003, and Judy Mae (Stewart) Eaton.

Note: Her husband, Lyle, was buried in California.
