He was born November 21, 1945 in Lambert, MS the son of Lee Russell and Margie (Blaker) Green. He has been a resident of the Pittsburg area since the age of 18.
James was an auto mechanic working for Jack Stanley, Wal-Mart; he was also owner/operator of the Phillips 66 station on South Broadway in Pittsburg for 9 years. He was currently employed at Superior.
Survivors include 2 sons-James Russell Green Jr. of Joplin, MO, Kevin Green of Pittsburg; 2 daughters Becky Lynn Green and Emily Marie Green both of Pittsburg; 1 brother and several sisters; and 2 Grandchildren Austin Green and Mattie Haynes. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Memorial graveside services and inurnment will be 11 a.m. Saturday July 26th at the Frontenac City Cemetery in Frontenac with Reverend Dennis Johnson officiating.
